Scelt’s primary focus, following the Purge, had been to ease relations with the landens and rebuild what they had lost. The Killan Queens remained in power following that traumatic witch storm and have worked hard for all these years for the benefit of Scelt. Their dynasty had been challenged any number of times in the several hundred years they had comfortable ruled Scelt before the Purge and following it but never had it been in jeopardy until thirty years ago when Daveil Killan was replaced as Queen by the younger, and darker, Eirne Sheane. By the time Daveil’s grand-daughter came of age to rule the Territory Eirne was firmly rooted in place and unwilling to relinquish control despite the Territory choosing to support Loreniel Killan instead.

Loreniel’s five years of ruling in Scelt have been less than ideal as she has faced a cell of defectors who have made Scelt a very uncomfortable place to live in; they’ve raided landen villages for their goods, wares and resources, and have caused innumerable amounts of destructions against both land and property. Fear has been mounting that Loreniel is not strong enough to combat her defectors, to protect the landens accordingly, and to manage the Territory and rumors have been mounting that she is nothing more than a pawn for her grandmother, or the puppet for Scelt’s Shield, Gray Jeweled Brogan Devlin.

For centuries Nharkava was a Territory nearly sealed off to the Shadow Realm save for select trade agreements with merchants and rulers whom all paid hefty prices to import rare Nharkavan goods through their business or land. Rich in natural resources the proud nation wanted for little and thus is existed largely independent and ignorant of the troubles of the world around it, though that’s not to say it did not have it’s own issues.

Unfortunately for the exotic, tropical land, Witch’s wrath knew no borders and they experienced loss on a scale as great as everyone else but they refused to open their doors and ask for help. They feared, rightfully so, that should they ask for assistance other weakened Territories would take the opportunity to seize the land for it’s bounty and push them from their homes.

In fact, Nharkavans never really asked for help so much as it was forced on them. The Lady Isyviel Valenkos gave the Nation a choice: surrender, or Glacia would simply take over.

Bride Marchalan yet sits on the throne of Little Terreille. Lead by example but whispered to be led in turn by her mother. She is a kind heart, open to taking Glacian refugees and assisting them in whatever ways she can. It has put a strain on those under Bride, on those native to Little Terreille who wanted nothing to do with the refugees. Sitting upon the precipice of change, Little Terrielle isn’t the safe Territory that the refugees imagined. As for Bride, well Bride is in store for the biggest surprise of them all.

The Offering. A joyous ceremony to all who are born of the Blood, but not in Glacia. Not in this cold wintery territory, where coming away with anything less than an opal jewel could be a lifetime sentence of servitude at best or death at worst. Here religiosity breeds the best, bringing out the true keepers of the land in the Blood and protectors of the Landens. But here religiosity also breeds the worst, where any light jewel is persecuted, contained, spied on and sometimes, in the secretive labyrinths of the Glacian cliffs, sent back to Mother Night.

Peace reigns, but peace at what cost? When two Queens vie for power, the strength of the Territory is tested. When the foundation is shaken, there is always room for advancement. Who will turn against their leaders, their elders, their priests and priestesses? Who will seize everything that Mother Night will give them? And what will the cost be in the end?

She saved Dhemlan from destruction during the Purge but can Mitra Sa Roya save it again? Once an Ebon Gray Jeweled Queen she gave up her Jewels and husband to save Dhemlan, to keep alive most of the Blood who would have been so easily destroyed by the Black Jeweled Purge. That was 185 years ago and though she has survived those years and ruled Dhemlan as a Broken Queen it is still obvious that Dhemlan has issues that lay beyond those of the Purge, instead it is corruption.

As a Territory unaffected by the Purge Dhemlan was thought blessed but finally the true depth of Witch’s plan is seen and Dhemlan’s widespread corruption is a taint that is not easily burned out. With Broken Jewels many expect that Mitra will fail to save Dhemlan yet again but the Queen has not given up yet. In a battle against an invisible foe her battle is uphill but tenacity is not a quality held in short by the Queen of Dhemlan.

Dharo’s political waters have always been the defining feature of this Kaeleer Territory. Like the ocean tide the political waters of Dharo has given and taken from each of it’s Queens since the Purge without prejudice. The peace between the landens and the Blood within Dharo is balanced upon a precarious perch.

The current Queen has been spending the last eight years putting the Territory to rights following the destructive rule of the former Queen. There has been a shift in focus for the Territory from rebuilding their lives, reclaiming their infrastructure from the landens, and re-asserting their power across the Territory to focusing on the landen relations, their mercantile exports and their crop harvests. The focus is to turn the Territory around to become more self sufficient and less reliant on imports from neighboring Territories.

A land in ruin. Torn apart by war and famine. The people cry out in desperation for a savior, and yet the call falls upon deaf ears. Warlord Prince Draekar Eventide and his trusted Court are struggling to but survive the horrors that now wreak havoc across their once beloved land. After the fall of Askavi’s last wretched Queen, there is squabbling amongst the rulers as to who should take the seat of the mountainous terrain, but all that have tried to satisfy their own ends have failed.

Deep in the darkest reaches of the bitter north, a Queen is locked away. The single most valuable treasure Askavi could ever know, and she’d never seen the lands that she was born to rule. Can Draekar and his Court defeat their enemies - the behemoth Lokevar, the black-hearted snake Krenvar, and the brat Queen Kallya? Will the rightful heiress of Askavi bring their homeland to light, or allow it to fall into the darkness of death and despair? The fate of the land now rests in the hands of the people and their choices.

While blood flows from an altar dedicated to the Darkness, Shalador’s leader Rian Maboya, a Gray Jeweled Priestess, has no qualm with letting it be her people’s blood which wets that altar. A woman renown for her dedication to Shalador and swift justice, there is little doubt that Rian would sacrifice her own offspring to her altar if she thought it would bring a Queen to save Shalador.

With the bloodlines mixed in Shalador, Eyriens from Askavi having fled hundreds of years ago from the war torn country, Rian has lead Shalador since the Purge. As the one land in Terreille that has begun to strike an accord with Landen, allowing them into their tribes and cities, there is still not easy end to tension between Blood and Landen. While Rian waits for a Queen to lead her people, the Landen wait for Shalador to fully accept them.

Raej is the powderkeg of Terreille that started the true Landen movement. With a town called Hylia razed and the Landens revolting, Raej’s economy came to a grinding halt, and the rioting even flooded over the Territory Court and killed the Queen of Raej. That was 10 years ago. Now a Priest Warlord Prince rules Raej, his intent focused on rebuilding his people, protecting Raej and his people from the dangerous Landen.

Odji Khaldun does not seen the Landen as a force to be protected. He knows with the numbers seen, there will be more dead Blood before that war will be won and he cannot risk the end of the Blood. Raej is on a precipice of danger: Landen barely at an accord with the Blood, a ruler who sees Landen as a threat and not an equals, a Territory burning under the desert sun in danger of burning itself alive should civil war erupt.

In Hayll sits a Territory Queen who is dying of nothing more sinister than old age. Her Green Jewel still glows with life but already the carrion beasts have begun to pick at her bones, factions arising in attempts to put their own chosen leader on the throne. The Priestesses, Widows and Warlord Princes have begun to bicker but in the only way that can be seen in Hayll – through parties.

There are ample back room deals and soft spoken lies but until the Queen passes her last breath, the fighting won’t truly begun. Until then, choose a side but choose wisely. Until the dust settles Hayll will be a battleground like any other war.

Hit just as hard as all the Long Lived races, Dhemlan has yet to bounce back completely from the Purge. Too concerned with their own political games and power plays, the Blood are building a crumbling tower. With the Landen particularly more populous in Dhemlan than any other place in Terreille, there are strong Landen movements in the unstable political waters.

As Dhemlan continues to fade with the Purge being the precipitating event, the Territories around watch the once proud Long Lived slowly wasting away. When will the Blood wake up and see what their own greed has wrought? Will there be enough time to save the collapsing Territory?

Since the Purge, Chaillot has worked on creating a strong merchant and business foundations within the Territory to provide economic growth to the Blood who have survived and rebuilt. For the most part the landens have been left alone to manage for themselves and they, too, have built up a strong mercantile empire. The Blood are slowly beginning to reclaim the Territory but have yet to re-conquer the wild landens who have been left to care for themselves since the Purge.

Amongst the Blood there has been a movement against those who wear the Dark Jewels following several very public, and disastrous, melt downs by several Dark Jewels since the Purge. There is a fear associated with someone who wears the Dark Jewels and it is understood that Dark Jewels, without the calming influence of a Queen, can be dangerous and unstable. The Territory has rallied behind the current Queen of Chaillot and have given her tremendous support that has allowed the Light Jeweled Queen to rule the Territory stably and with great success for the last five years.

The reign of the Black-Jeweled Warlord Prince, Endevar Ranosi, was over before it had even begun. The Court was besieged by underhandedness, spying, and controversy, even in the face of the Black’s power. And in the end, no one won, as Endevar Ranosi resigned under duress in the midst of strange circumstances and rumors of paternity.

Askavi was once again left to its own devices, a patchwork court made up of Ranosi’s most dedicated supporters doing their best to hold together what they could so that a new Queen could rise and take her place among the people. They are angry. They have carried the burden of paying for past sins for far too long. Discontent wears down the good will between long held alliances. Daily living has become a struggle. Still a warrior race, they have turned on each other, desperately seeking what little resources still exist.

A Court rises with two Queens at its heart, working together to heal Askavi and her people. Together they navigate the anger of the other Territories as they cease the restitution payments and attempt to avoid a full scale war with the Jhinka. They are working to heal the land and heal the damaged relationships between the courts and their people—but after so much damage and destruction to land and people alike, will it be enough?

The Aristo were losing control of their territory long before the Purge, but after the disaster, there was little the Territory could do except rely on the Landen for help. As the years passed, many bloodlines became polluted with Landen heritage, leaving the Aristo small in number and exceptionally protective of their own bloodlines.

As the Blood began to stabilize once more, the Aristo returned to their exploitation, but within the middle class, there arose a new power - the guilds. Each one answers to the Guild Master, who though his identity is not known, holds all information and power regarding the territory. By his hand, Darcia Glassade now sits on the Territory Seat. But she is young and has not yet come into her own strength of character. Manipulated by those closest to her, she rests unknowingly in the midst of a dangerous web of politics.

For centuries, the salt mines of Pruul have brought in many millions of marks, a number that they would never have dreamt of achieving without the use of slave labor. Increasing demand for cheaper salt led to an increased demand for slaves, and the desire for money led several members of Clan Sabbah to imprison those who have done no wrong. Among them rests a Black-Jeweled Priestess Queen, a woman who could be Pruul’s salvation—or its devastation.

Above the sand, the tyrannical Qasim rules his lands with an unforgiving fist. His hunt for the Mother required to rule Pruul has gone for three years, unanswered and unchallenged; no woman of Pruulian descent has stepped up to heal the land, and none has been sensed besides. In the rocky crags of the Pruulian mountains, however, hope may spring anew. Even if it does—even if a new Priestess Queen is found—will the tribes of Pruul be able to accept her? Or will civil war rise up and consume the arid territory?

Only time will tell.
